Absolutely fantastic customer service! The first time I've used Reel Value (John) and I also can't speak highly enough about the quality of his workmanship. I sent two Hardy Angel 11/12 salmon reels along with three additional spools to be serviced/repaired as two of the spools wouldn't even engage with the reel properly. All back in a week working perfectly at an extremely reasonable cost. Couldn't recommend John highly enough - don't hesitate to use him, you won't be disappointed.

Have just used John for the first time to repair a pair of 20 year old Daiwa SLOSH reels, both were unusable. Received a phone call within a week of postage advising they were fixed and what work was carried out. Reels were back to me a few days later as good as new and at a good price.

I live in Sweden and spent almost 5-6 months searching for a tackle shop to fix my reel, ended up at Reel value and contacted John via email. I was at a loss with my fox warrior 2 size 1000 reel, after losing my drag adjuster in heavy current in my local river, I was struggling sourcing a part. I then found reelvalue online and after reading reviews and contacting John via email, he was quick to respond with a solution. I sent the reel off with little hesitation. After a few weeks and through sheer determination John had managed to grind down another drag knob to fit the spool. A neat job. Very pleased with both the reel and John’s customer service. John has taken a very sick Fox Stratos FS7000E. The freespool tensioner had jammed completely. John has repaired it and turned it into a brand new reel. I can’t thank him enough.

Had a problem with a LNT Reel the springs had gone, John sorted and got replacement parts for the discontinued reel £25 pounds including postage a two courtesy phone calls al within a week.

If only service was this good everywhere, the country wouldn't be in the state it is in.

Sent John my 45 year old Daiwa SS3000 spinning reel. He did a full service and made me a new bail spring. The reel now runs like new and the bail works perfectly. I sent john one of my okuma 6000 inception reels to see if he could find me a replacement drag knob and spool. I had originally spoken to him and he hadnt got any spare parts for this newish model range, none of the older model spares fitted but he quickly ordered genuine parts which was all quickly despatched back to me in double quick time.
But in addition to this while speaking to john i found out he also offers a reel servicing service which ment i could ask him to check out the anti reverse which was not working for some reason, what can i say except what an excellent service he offers and i now have my reel back in full working order.

Brought an Okuma Airframe AF7/9 reel through John's eBay selling page and I could believe how quickly the item got dispatched, order late Friday evening and received the item through the post on Monday, also communication between myself and John was second to none I asked a question regarding spare spools but he didn't have any in but he said that he would keep in contact with me regards when he is able to get some in for me.

I'm also pretty impressed by the way that when I brought the reel that I chose I was expecting to pay postage on the item but there wasn't any postage to pay.

If someone asked me if I going to buy from the same supplier again the answer would most definitely be yes I would due to the speed of not only delivery of the item but the customer service, I received with a query that I had
